This decorative, large Bucephalandra variant is produced in an Indonesian water plant nursery under the trading name “Super Blue”. Its exact origin and species belonging are unknown to us, but as well as all Bucephalandras, it originates from Borneo island, growing as a rheophyte (adapted to strong current) on a rock in the flood zone of rainforest streams. Bucephalandra sp. “Super Blue” has broad, slightly wavy, about 4,5 cm long leaves. In its emersed form, the plant shows dark to medium green tones. Leaves that are developed underwater have a blueish shine.
